DRAW WILL NOW TAKE PLACE AT CHRISTMAS GATHERING ON DECEMBER 22ND !ALL TICKETS MUST BE RETURNED BY THE MORNING OF 22ND !!
After the great success last year of the “BIG DRAW” we would like to bring to your attention the structure of this year’s draw. Last year we asked a selected amount of people within the club to take on the responsibility to sell 25 tickets each. This was greatly supported by all who were asked and on behalf of Carryduff GAC we wish to thank everyone who chipped in to sell a great number of tickets. The success was fantastic with approx. £7.5k being generated of which approx. £5.5k was profit. Around £2k was paid out in prize money and there was a few hundred pounds overheads for printing of the tickets.
This year we would like to try and share the load in regards to ticket selling and bring together the entire playing community within the club to support this event. All head coaches of EVERY panel throughout the club will distribute a book of ballots containing FIVE tickets to every playing member. We would ask EVERYONE to do their best in selling what they can. Every little will help. Dual code players will receive their tickets directly from their Football coach. This will allow the Hurling coaches to reach out directly to the Hurling only players. We of course recognise that throughout the club some families will have multiple family members across the different panels. Whatever these players can sell will be very much appreciated but it is not expected that larger families take on too much burden. As stated, we are just asking that everyone tries their best to support in some small way. There will be a £50 prize also for the seller of the 1st prize ticket.
We would also like to ask non-playing members who feel they would be able to help, to contacted members of the Juvenile Fundraising Committee if they wish to take a book of ballots. This would be very much appreciated. Contact details can be seen below.
. All returns can go directly to head coaches who in turn will pass on to the Juvenile Fundraising Committee.
The development around the club in recent months has been a credit to all of you who continue to support the various club functions / events. The development is on-going and over the next few years we will boast one of the best infrastructures throughout the county that will enable ALL of our playing members to develop and reach their potential in facilities they deserve.
Go raibh maith agat.
